Denise was born on 17 Feb. 1971 in Downers Grove, Illinois, USA. Her father name is Irv Richards who was telephone company employee and her mother is Joni Richards.

She became famous in late 1990 as an actress when she appeared in The World Is Not Enough and Wild Things. She was famous because of her marriage with Charlie Sheen. In 1990 she appeared in many small budget movies and also television serials. She is also appeared as a starring on television.

During her school time she has did modeling. But after graduation she has given full concentration on her acting career. Starship Troopers is debut film of Denise and it is successful movie. Denies was in news for her role-played in "Wild Things". Before appearing in the Starship Troopers she worked as make up girl for Bonne Bell.
