Jenny McCarthy - Biography

Jenny McCarthy was born on November 1, 1972, in Chicago, Illinois, to Linda and Dan. Her mother was a housewife and father was a steel company foreman. Jenny has three sisters Lynette McCarthy, Joanne McCarthy and Amy McCarthy. Jenny is second out of four sisiters. Jenny's family is of Irish Catholic descent. Jenny spend her childhood on the southside of Chicago in the West Elsdon neighborhood.

McCarthy graduated from Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School. After graduation she attended Southern Illinois University to study nursing. Jenny needed some money for her college and decided to give her picture to Playboy magazine to make money. She was accepted by the magazine and since then become a model. Later she posed for the October issue of the Playbu magazine in 1993. She was paid $30,000 for the photo shoot. At that time she became the laymate of the Month and later the Playmate of the Year.

In 1994, Jenny moved to LA, where she her television career is started as a host of show "Hot Rocks" featuring uncensored music videos. In 1995, McCarthy left the Hot Rocks show for her new assignment as a host of MTV's dating show called "Singled Out". She was veru successful as a host, along the time Playboy wanted her to model more.

In 1996, Jenny got a small role in the comedy "The Stupids". While in 1997 Jenny launched two shows called "Jenny" and an MTV sketch comedy show "The Jenny McCarthy Show". The same time appeared on the one of the two covers of September issue of Playboy, the other one was covered with Pamela Anderson.

McCarthy got a lead role in "BASEketball" in 1998. In 1999, starred in her husbands (John Mallory Asher) movie called "Diamonds". While her next movie was "Scream 3" in 2000. From 2001 to 2003 McCarthy gave guest appearence in many shows like "Stacked", "Charmed", "The Drew Carey Show", "Fastlane" and "Just Shoot Me!".

McCarthy's next movie comes in 2003 called "Scary Movie 3" along with Pamela Anderson, while "Dirty Love" along with Carmen Electra, in 2005. In 2005, McCarthy hosted a new show "Party at the Palms" for E!. It was shot at the The Palms Hotel in Las Vegas.

In 2006, McCarthy was rewarded by Razzie Award for "Worst Screenplay," "Worst Actress," and "Worst Picture" for film "Dirty Love".

Personal Life: Jenny McCarthy was dated actor/director John Mallory Asher. They got engaged in Jan 1999 and married later that year on 11 September. They together have a son Evan Joseph, born on May 18, 2002. But they have filed for divorce in August 2005. McCarthy was also dated her manager Ray Manzella, in 1998 for a short time.

Jenny's 2006 projects are "Untitled Patricia Heaton Project" (TV), "John Tucker Must Die", "Mary Christmas" (TV), while 2007 project is "Rollin". Also she is working as a writer for "Rollin".
