A 6'3" tall, dark-haired, boyishly handsome, confident, charming, and self-effecing Josh Hartnett had appeared in several national television commercials as well as in many successful Hollywood movies such as The Faculty, Black Hawk Down, and Pearl Harbor. He was originally set to play the role of Tino in Deuces Wild, but dropped out to star in Pearl Harbor.

Josh Hartnett dated with his childhood sweetheart Ellen Fenster. They had been together for a number of years and about a year ago, they bought a $2.5 million mansion together in Minneapolis, Minnesota. But in February 2004 they were separate out from each other.
