Naomi Watts is a British born Australian actress, producer and model. Born in Shoreham, Kent, England on 28 September 1968, moved to Australia at age 14 due to an unfortunate death of her father.

Naomi's first biggest hit was director David Lynch's "Mulholland Drive" in 2001. It was premiered at Cannes Film Festival, which gives a Best Director Oscar nomination for director David Lynch, while Naomi won the National Society of Film Critics Award as Best Actress and the National Board of Review award as Breakthrough Performance of the year. Naomi earned global acclaim for her performance.

For "Mulholland Drive", Naomi received the Best Actress awards from a number of critics' groups, including the Chicago Film Critics Association and the National Society of Film Critics. Also Naomi was named the Female Star of Tomorrow at the ShoWest film industry honors, and received the Hollywood Discovery Award for Breakthrough Acting at the Hollywood Film Festival.

Watts best known movies include "Flirting" (1991), "The Ring" (2002), "The Kelly Gang" (2003), "21 Grams" (2003) and "King Kong" (2005). Naomoi's upcoming movie is "The Painted Veil" and is due out in the fall of 2006.
